The Division of Transition Specialists (TRANSIT) and the National Association of Disability Benefits Specialists (NADBS) are presenting apre-conferencefocused on extending work incentives benefits counseling services to youth with disabilities and their families in the new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) environment. Ray Cebula, a national expert from Cornell University, will facilitate the session. Participants will leave with a systems perspective as well as practical information that can be applied in the field.

The National Association of Service Providers in Private Rehabilitation (NASPPR) is presenting a pre-conference focused on the CRC Code of Ethics, last revised in 2010. CRCC has released the draft revision of the Code of Professional Ethics for Rehabilitation Counselors for 2016. The comment period ended June 30, 2016. What are the proposed changes? How will this impact rehabilitation counseling services for NASPPR members who work in a wide variety of settings? This session will provide an overview of the proposed changes and offer some examples and case studies.

The National Association for Rehabilitation Leadership is presenting a pre-conference focused on leadership ethics – traits of an ethical leader. Leaders who lead ethically are role models, communicating the importance of ethical standards, holding their employees accountable to those standards, and-crucially-designing environments in which others work and live. Ethical leadership has shown to cause a number of positive outcomes, and to reduce the risk of many negative ones. Leadership may be the most important device in an ethical system designed to support ethical conduct.
