Our Association

As the Nation's most established and respected membership association for rehabilitation professionals, we welcome you to the Website of the National Rehabilitation Association (NRA). NRA members work to eliminate barriers and increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We provide our members opportunities for advocacy and increased awareness of issues through professional development and access to current research topics. Together, we work towards a society where there are no barriers, environmental or attitudinal, to full employment and participation in life. We invite you to join our growing community of thousands by becoming a member today or download a pamphlet to share with your colleagues!

Advocacy/Government Affairs

Consistent with the National Rehabilitation Association's mission statement "The National Rehabilitation Association (NRA) is a member organization that promotes ethical and state of the art practice in rehabilitation with the goal of the personal and economic independence of persons with disabilities", the Governmental Affairs Program offers our members the opportunity to participate meaningfully in shaping vocational rehabilitation policy at the State and Federal levels.

Being the longest-serving and one of the strongest organizations in providing advocacy and awareness on behalf of individuals with disabilities, the National Rehabilitation Association's Governmental Affairs professionals are committed to communicating the importance of informed grassroots advocacy and enhanced outreach to every level of government to ensure the continuation of evidence-based rehabilitation practices and policies.
